Table shows the racial/ethnic composition of workers paid less than $19.69 within each industry. The first row in the table, "Share of low-wage work," shows the racial/ethnic make-up of the total low-wage workforce. By comparing this row to the other rows, the user can identify if low-wage workers in each racial/ethnic group are overrepresented in particular industries. For example, among all low-wage workers employed in the Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, and Hunting Industry, 9 out of 10 (91.1%) are Hispanic, while overall Hispanics make up a little over half (56.0%) of all low-wage workers. The industry column is color-coded, with darker colors indicating that the industry employs a larger share of the total low-wage workforce.
