Dramatic gains in access to paid leave in professional occupations over the past decade are tempered by smaller changes in part-time work, service jobs, and smaller companies.
In 2023, it is only a small category of professional workers in which a majority of workers have paid family leave. For all other jobs, businesses, regions and industries, access to paid family leave is still unavailable to most workers in the private-sector.
