Foreign-born Hispanic workers account for almost 10% of the entire U.S. workforce

Nearly 20% of the U.S. workforce is foreign born, and almost half of those foreign workers identify as Hispanic or Latino.

Note: Foreign born includes legally-admitted immigrants, refugees, temporary residents (students, temporary workers, etc.) and undocumented immigrants. For purposes of this analysis, all race categories depicted exclude individuals of Hispanic/Latino origin. For example, Black workers who also identify as Hispanic are not double counted as Black and Hispanic: They only appear in the latter category.
