Income realignment

While the Bay Area’s core counties lost wealthier individuals, on average, the outskirts gained them, suggesting a high-income migration to the Wine Country.

Some Bay Area counties saw a money exodus in 2020. For example, the average leaving income in San Francisco County was $170k, while the the incoming average was $107k.
