Winters in the Northeast are warming faster due to climate change than much of the rest of the country. The nonprofit Climate Central has analyzed different measures of that trend in 40 years of weather data for New England cities. The region may see bigger swings in temperature as this trend continues, driving "winter whiplash" that affects ecosystems, infrastructure and people.
