Proportion of Students Behind Grade Level by Poverty at Schools

Data from the School Pulse Panel, based on responses from school administrators nationwide, shows that schools in high-poverty neighborhoods reported that nearly half of their students were behind grade level before the COVID-19 outbreak. That ratio increased for all schools in the first two school years during the pandemic.
