Property crime rate per 100,000 residents

In 2024, Memphis, Tennessee, had the highest property crime rate per 100,000 residents, while Los Angeles had the lowest. Property crime rates in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., declined compared with 2019, whereas rates in Memphis, Portland, Oregon, and Chicago increased.

Chart scales vary. Rates may differ slightly from FBI data due to Stateline's use of U.S. Census Bureau population estimates. The Los Angeles Police Department did not report crime data to the FBI in 2021 because of changes to the FBI’s data collection system.
