Database: Out-of-school suspensions in Indiana by district

This database shows how often students are suspended in public and charter schools, comparing students in special education with students in general education. It includes the ratio of suspensions for every 100 students in each group, total number of suspensions and total enrollment in the 2023-24 school year. 

These ratios have been rounded to whole numbers. At least 35 public school districts and charter schools did not have reported suspensions in IDOE data. Those districts are noted in the database.

WFYI contacted multiple schools with discrepancies in their data. Three schools provided updated numbers. They are marked in the data with asterisks (*). Baugo Community Schools and Inspire Academy updated their special education enrollment. Geist Montessori Academy updated its special education enrollment and suspension incidents for all students.
