Colorado’s livestock industry produced more than $4.1 billion in sales of cattle, sheep and associated products in 2017, according to the USDA 2017 Census of Agriculture report, the latest available. In the northwestern counties west of the Continental Divide and north of I-70, including Moffat, Rio Blanco, Jackson, Grand and Routt counties, cattle and sheep are by far the largest agricultural products.
