Moderate-income discounts vary by property

Moderate income renters are getting big discounts to market-rate at some properties, while at others they pay about the same amount, or sometimes more, than market rates.

Market rate means effective market rate rent for a one-year lease on a unit, including any concessions and rent discounts offered as of May 2025. Moderate income BMR rentals includes units for renters making between 81% and 130% of the area median income.
