Everybody's Darlings: These 10 countries are getting points most often

These 10 road trip destinations received points most often from European countries in the contest. Ireland, Norway, Portugal and Scotland are just Everybody's Darlings, since they received points from every country in the competition (23x). 

Methodology: The TUI Cars European Road Trip Contest is based on data from the Google Keyword Planner and average Google search queries between February 2024 and February 2025. The search queries always consisted of the combination of the destination and the word "road trip", both in the local language and in English. The numbers were then added together. For multilingual countries, we researched all relevant search terms in the respective local languages and in English, and then combined the results. We did not consider search queries for the country itself combined with the word "road trip." In the above graphic, we analysed which countries most frequently appeared in the top search queries across European countries and therefore received points in the European Road Trip Contest.
