Total contributions by members of the U.S. Marine Corps, by party of recipients

In most cycles from 2000 to 2016, members of the Marine Corps gave significantly more money to Republican candidates and party committees than to Democrats. But since 2018, the money has shifted toward Democrats, except for 2022. These totals include donations from retirees and reservists who list the Marine Corps as their employer.
