A more diverse population in the Valley

In the 2010 Census, the majority of the population in each of the five populous central San Joaquin Valley counties identified racially as white. In the 2020 Census, shown below, none of the counties reflect a white racial majority. 

Note: * Hispanic origin is not a race under federal Census reporting, but is based on ethnicity or culture. A person of Hispanic heritage may be of any race.
