Malnutrition Death Rates Are Highest in Rural and Valley Counties

Malnutrition death rates among older people between 2020 and 2022 were highest in Lake, Merced, Butte, Tuolumne, and Sutter counties. Among counties with more than 100,000 older residents, Sacramento had the highest death rate.
