COVID-19 Cases hit a plateau during third covid wave, then began to decrease

During Florida's third and worst COVID-19 surge, cases began to plateau around the second week of August and began to decline a couple of weeks later, Florida Department of Health data published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show.

Date of case data were downloaded from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention United States COVID-19 Cases and Deaths by State Over Time dataset on Sept. 16 and represent all cases reported through that day, logged by date of case.
