New Mexico's pedestrian fatalities since 2022

Preliminary data from the University of New Mexico shows that drivers struck and killed 89 pedestrians in New Mexico in 2025, which marks the lowest number of pedestrian deaths in five years.

Even with the decline, the state still has among the highest pedestrian fatality rates in the nation.
