The Impact of the Overseas Buyers Ban 

The chart shows the percentage of total property transfers where the buyer is not a NZ citizen or holds an NZ resident visa for Auckland for New Zealand. Figures show the year ending in March from 2018 to 2023. The ban on overseas buyers came into effect in October 2018.
