How much has been spent on sand replenishment in N.J.

More than $2.6 billion has been spent on beach replenishment projects in New Jersey since 1922. Western Carolina University provided annual data for the nearly $2.5 billion spent between 1936 and 2018. Nearly half of that was spent in the years since Hurricane Sandy. The figures below don't include another $150M spent since 2018.
