Record High Wage Gap

The median annual wage in 2021 for new graduates with a bachelor’s degree and a full-time job was $22,000 more than for workers with a high-school diploma, the highest gap on record since 1990.

Note: Wages are in constant 2021 dollars. Recent college graduates are those age 22 to 27 with a bachelor’s degree only. High-school graduates are those age 22 to 27 with a high-school diploma only.
