The Michigan Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) PFAS Initiative required all municipal wastewater treatment plants with required IPPs (98 statewide) to find out if they were passing through PFOS and/or PFOA to surface waters and, if found, to reduce and eliminate any sources.
