Cuyahoga County’s three youth care centers

As an alternative to locking kids up in the detention center for primarily domestic violence issues, Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court officials placed 95 children in youth care centers in 2022 and 2023. The children ranged in age from 12 to 17 and spent, on average, just under two weeks at these facilities.
