New Jersey, which trails only New York in the number of known cases of the coronavirus, ranks ninth among states in testing when adjusted to population size. Gov. Phil Murphy on Thursday said that he expects New Jersey could double its testing capabilities by the end of May. Pennsylvania, which ranks sixth in known cases, is 25th in population-adjusted testing.
