Gibraltar Residency has identified the best countries for Brits to retire to, taking into account several key factors to think about when choosing a place to settle down.

In order to find the best locations for UK expats to retire to, we gathered data for several factors to rank the countries, which included: Residency / Visa options, Healthcare, Personal Tax Rates, Sunshine Hours, Cost of Living, % of Population That Speak English. Each factor was scored out of 40 (the number of countries in the analysis), and each score was then weighted, with healthcare, tax rates and cost of living each accounting for 25% of the total score, and sunshine hours, residency options and English proficiency making up the final 25%. We then ranked each country based on their total weighted score out of 40, to show the best countries for expat retirees.
