California test positivity for COVID-19, past month

The statewide positivity rate for coronavirus has doubled in about the past three weeks, after plateauing at one of its lowest baselines of the two-year pandemic. California's positivity topped 20% at the peak of winter's omicron surge in January.

Positivity shown is California's seven-day rolling average for COVID-19, as reported by state health officials in an April 19 update. Data for more recent dates are not yet available.
