Jail immigration arrests

ICE arrests at city and county jails, as a rate per 10,000 noncitizens, are lowest in states with strong sanctuary policies limiting cooperation with federal authorities. They are highest in West Virginia and Wyoming which have anti-sanctuary laws. Analysis is through early March, the most recent available for detailed state-level arrest information.
