How Hennepin County's tax forfeiture program fares every year

Hennepin County collects revenues by selling and renting tax-forfeited properties. Those proceeds help recoup lost property taxes as well as pay for any fees and fines. County officials say they have to pay for property maintenance as well as administrative and legal costs. The only year the county made money over the past decade was in 2015.
