Missouri’s neighboring states make up 8% of ACEP-ALE acres
Missouri has not enrolled any acres in the federal agriculture easement program since it began. With almost 27,000 acres, Nebraska has the most land under the program among Midwestern states and Missouri’s neighbors. Missouri’s neighboring states make up 8% of all protected acres nationwide, with more than 82,300 acres of preserved farmland under the federal program.
