System membership defined primarily according to American Hospital Association (AHA) Annual Survey Database but also based on the AHRQ Compendium of US Health Systems and, in rare instances, through manual review. Market shares reflect the share of hospital discharges. Sample limited to non-federal general short-term hospitals.
