The school drop-out rate among African immigrant teenagers is 35%, the highest in Spain. The problem affects young people of sub-Saharan origin much more severely: 55% do not continue their studies, compared with 26% of those of Moroccan origin. Among young people of Moroccan origin, there is a striking difference in favour of women: the dropout rate among them is 16%, compared with 37% for men.
