States with laws targeting PFAS 'forever chemicals'

Twenty-eight states have laws concerning the use or manufacturing of PFAS, a group of chemicals that persist in the environment and can be toxic. Many of the laws involve PFAS released into water and found in firefighting foam, carpets, textiles and cosmetics.
