NBC5 Investigates found that more than 1,000 polling places in Illinois are located inside schools -- public, private, parochial, and even preschools. Most are in the Chicago area. Many of these schools take measures to make sure that voters do not have access to the rest of a school building or its students, but we have found that not all schools take these precautions. NBC5 Investigates also found hundreds of polling locations at park districts, youth centers, churches, synagogues and Islamic centers. Search this list to find out if your school, park, or place of worship is an election polling location, so you can find out what security measures are in place when people come in to vote.
