Causes of accidental deaths among Valley seniors

Among household mishaps, falls have been the leading cause of accidental deaths for senior citizens age 65 and older in the San Joaquin Valley since 2018.

Types of falls included include slipping, tripping and stumbling; falls involving beds, chairs or other furniture; falls on or from stairs or steps; and unspecified falls.
