Texas' suburbs are less Republican than they were a decade ago

The gap between the GOP margin in the suburbs and the margin in the rest of Texas is shrinking. Republican Sen. Ted Cruz' margin in suburban counties shrunk by half from 2012 to 2018, and didn't substantially recover in 2024.
