State legislative district map enactment dates, 2010 cycle versus 2020 cycle

[1] The Alaska State Senate map was initially enacted on November 10, 2021, and overturned twice by court action. Final district boundaries were adopted on May 24, 2022.
[2] Connecticut completed redistricting its House on 11/18 and its Senate on 11/23.
[3] Kentucky completed redistricting its House on 1/20/22 and its Senate on 1/21/22.
[4] The Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission approved legislative maps on Dec. 28, 2021, which became law on March 26, 2022.
[5] Missouri completed redistricting its House on 1/19 and its Senate on 3/15.
[6] Montana was the last state to enact legislative redistricting plans after the 2020 census. The state constitution requires that the redistricting commission submit legislative maps to the legislature so they can provide non-binding recommendations before they are enacted. Montana's legislature only meets in odd-numbered years and adjourned in April 2021, before U.S. Census data was delivered to the states on August 12, 2021.
[7] New Hampshire completed redistricting of the state House on March 23, 2022. It completed state Senate redistricting on May 6, 2022.
[8] New Mexico completed redistricting its House on 12/29/21 and its Senate on 1/6/22.
[9] New York initially enacted legislative maps on February 3, 2022. The maps were overturned by court action on March 31. An appeals court reversed that decision on April 21. The New York Court of Appeals, the state's highest court, ruled to overturn the state senate map on April 27. New York enacted revised state senate boundaries on May 20, 2022.
[10] North Carolina initially enacted legislative maps on November 4, 2021. Those maps were overturned by court action on February 4, 2022. The Wake County Superior Court approved the state legislature's redrawn legislative maps on February 23, 2022.
[11] Ohio initially completed legislative redistricting on September 16, 2021. The initial maps were overturned by court action on January 12, 2022. A federal court ordered the enactment of legislative maps for the 2022 elections on May 28.
[12] Tennessee initially enacted legislative maps on February 6, 2022. The state Senate map was overturned by the Davidson County Chancery Court on April 6, 2022. The Tennessee Supreme Court reversed the lower court's ruling blocking the state Senate map on April 13, 2022.
[13] Wisconsin initially completed legislative redistricting on March 3, 2022. The U.S. Supreme Court reversed a decision by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to adopt Gov. Tony Evers' legislative maps on March 23, 2022, and remanded the case for further proceedings. The Wisconsin Supreme Court adopted state legislative district maps passed by the state legislature on April 15, 2022.
