10 most common crimes of convicted criminals arrested by ICE under Trump in Arizona

Of those with criminal records who were arrested by ICE since Jan. 20, most had a nonviolent record. Their most serious criminal convictions are listed below, with violent crimes marked in bold. The data do not include those arrested with pending charges or no criminal record, who together made up nearly 60% of people arrested by ICE under Trump.

The Arizona Daily Star classified crimes as violent mostly based on how the Social Security Administration defines them, but used its discretion to also categorize sex offenses as violent. The sex offenses include child molestation, indecent exposure, voyeurism and bestiality. They do not include commercialized sex or sexual assault. Data represents only those who were arrested by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations inside the country and sent to detention. It does not reflect actions taken by Customs and Border Protection.
