The subsidy St. Clair County taxpayers needed to add to MidAmerica St. Louis Airport grew 25 percent in 2016 to $8.29 million. County leaders stated they expected the subsidy to decrease. The grand total since 2002, the oldest audit available, is $89.4 million.
