An estimation of the global popularity of large language models (LLMs) based on active monthly users across platforms, APIs, and web traffic. Models are ranked by usage, including proprietary, open-source, and blended implementations.

Usage figures are indicative, not official. Numbers include direct users (apps, websites) and indirect usage (via integrations or APIs). Where applicable, multiple versions of a model are grouped under a common brand.
Study conducted by WebSEM AI Division. Estimates are based on aggregated data from public web traffic (SimilarWeb, Semrush), developer/API activity, enterprise reports, and LLM integration across SaaS tools.
