Understanding Wyoming's property tax

Wyoming collected $1.8 billion in property tax revenue in 2025. That included taxes derived from mineral production, residential properties, industrial sites and agricultural lands. Of that, $535 million derived from residential property taxes, which Prop 1 targets. Here is how that total revenue was spent:
