Temporary medical assistance in Illinois

While Illinois is now sending out notices of possible entitlement to temporary medical assistance for people whose cases are delayed more than 54 days past their application date, it is rare for people to actually receive this temporary medical assistance.

Monthly data from October 2017-February 2019 obtained from the Illinois Department of Human Services via public records request. Court documents show that no applicants received temporary medical benefits in the months prior to October 2017.
