Faculty demographics at Mizzou

From 2013 to 2023, Black and African American faculty representation increases over time, rising from 57 in 2013 to a peak of 85 in 2021. In 2023, Black and African American faculty made up 3.78% of the total faculty members. In comparison, White faculty has consistently stayed the same, with over 1,250 faculty members each year. Asian faculty has had the most consistent growth, increasing steadily from 196 to 275 over the ten year time span. While Hispanic and Latino representation has also risen gradually into the mid-80s, peaking at 86 faculty members in 2023. Mizzou saw a 0.7% decrease in Black and African American faculty from its peak at 85 in 2021 to 75 in 2023.
