Texas abortion clinics have decreased by two thirds since 2008
After decades of Republican-backed bills to limit access to abortions in Texas, the number of licensed abortion clinics in the state fell from 41 in 2008 to only 15 by 2020. A new law bans abortions after about six weeks gestation.
