In the Office Of Personnel Management's (OPM) 2024 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS), a majority of Treasury employees reported they could report a rule violation without fear of reprisal and that favoritism and political influence were not tolerated. In 2025, after OPM cancelled FEVS, the nonprofit Partnership for Public Service (PPS) fielded a survey of federal employees with similar questions. These two surveys are not directly comparable due to methodological differences. But without an official government-administered survey, PPS is the best data available.
