Hospital transports of Suffolk County inmates spiked in 2025

The number of inmates needing to be transported to the hospital from one of the Suffolk County Sheriff's two facilities — the Nashua Street Jail and the House of Correction — has shot up steeply in recent years according to data from the Suffolk County sheriff's office.
