The number of people deported across the United States decreased dramatically from 2019 to 2020, and has slightly increased over time.

The number of apprehensions are at a similar level in 2025 as in 2018. People may be apprehended and deported in different years. This may be why there are a higher number of deportations than apprehensions in some years.
