Share of U.S. Adults Reporting an Increase in Prescription and Insurance Costs

Participants were asked whether, since 2025, their health insurance premium, deductible, and monthly out-of-pocket cost for a prescription medication had increased, decreased, stayed the same, or whether they were unsure. Data shown are based on 1,887 respondents who had health insurance with prescription drug coverage and who, within the previous month, either filled a prescription or had a prescription sent to a pharmacy that they did not ultimately fill. Survey responses were weighted to be representative of the U.S. adult population. The survey was run through YouGov from May 7, 2026, through July 14, 2026.
