Citing documentation deficiencies, the Arkansas Secretary of State disqualified the citizen-initiated measure that would have amended the Arkansas constitution to protect the right to abortion up to 18 weeks LMP. The ballot backers appealed the decision and on 8/22/2024, the Arkansas Supreme Court affirmed the Secretary's decision.

Legislatively-referred measures protecting reproductive freedom in Hawaii and Washington, and measures curtailing the right to abortion in Missouri and Oklahoma did not receive a vote before the states' regular legislative sessions ended. However, these measures may be legislatively approved to appear on the ballot during a special session.

Legislatively-referred measures failed in the Maine and New Hampshire legislatures. These measures would have placed on the ballot constitutional amendments protecting reproductive freedom.
