Retail theft arrests are on the rise after bottoming out during the pandemic 

Philadelphia District Attorney data shows the number of arrests being made for retail theft is on the rise. At the current pace, Philadelphia will process more people for criminal retail theft in 2024 than any year since 2018. Summary retail theft charges are less severe.
