As part of Mayor Mike Duggan's mission to rid the city of blight, his staff compiled a list of the most prominent, bothersome blighted buildings to be dealt with through demolition, lawsuits and more.
Tracking: Sites with active development plans; city is monitoring for completion.
Demo: Building is publicly owned or has a Detroit order to demolish. The building could be saved if someone intervenes — by buying it or submitting a plan to redevelop, for example.
Legal: The city is taking legal action to get an owner to remove the blight, or suing to take ownership of the property.
Demo hold: Building was slated for demolition but owner pulled a permit to rehab it.
Enforcement: Building owner is cited for blight through code enforcement, including tickets and fines.
