5 agencies accounted for more than 75% of all environmental impact statements published in 2021
The Defense, Transportation, Interior, Energy and Agriculture departments produced more than three-quarters of the 175 draft and final NEPA environmental impact statements published in 2021. The rest came from agencies ranging from the Bureau of Prisons to the U.S. Postal Service.
