Figure 13. Distribution of the working population by type of occupation, population aged 25-59, 4Q24 (%)
Table with a heatmap showing the distribution of the working population by occupation among people aged 25 to 59 during the fourth quarter of 2024. More than two-thirds of Asian workers residing in our country (68.5%) hold positions in ‘food and beverage services, personal services, security and sales’, whilst those employed in ‘elementary occupations’ account for just 9%, a figure far lower than that of the other two major groups of immigrants from regions with a lower per capita income than Native Spaniards, Latin America and Africa.
